  • Good old horror/sci fi movies?

I mean old movies. As in black and white. Anyone know of any good old black and white horror movies? I was watching one called 13 Ghosts and I actually found it quite bearable. Are yall aware of any others that are pretty good?

Not as old as you're looking for, but there is one called The Changeling. 1980 George C Scott. It's a good one, most people have never heard of it.

I'll check it out. I just wanted to weed out all the 90's and 2000's stuff. But yeah any obscure titles like that.

I hear you, the "found footage" and torture horror have really ruined the genre in my opinion. The changeling is one that I find deeply disturbing. Ghost Story is another one from that early 80's era that was halfway decent. It's worth a watch.

It's not super old but The Exorcist 3 is pretty goddamned good. Very much in the spirit of the original movie since it was written and directed by Blatty himself.

                  Thanks!

Cool thing is, they can pretty much all be watched for free.

This should be interesting. I love me some classic SciFi and Horror movies, especially in B&W. I believe most of these movies were made in the 50's and I remember watching them as a kid on Saturdays. Quite a few of them have been remade. Might have to try and rewatch them again.

                    Forbidden Planet
The Day the Earth Stood Still
                    The Thing from Another Planet
                    Invasion of the Body Snatchers
                    Night of the Living Dead
                    It Came from Outer Space
                    Them
                    The Last Man on Earth
                    When Worlds Collide
                    Invaders from Mars
                    The War of the Worlds
                    The Blob
