  • If Only I Was Younger

Growing up in the so called "Muscle Car" era, I got to see, work and
build some pretty neat stuff. The one thing I drooled over was a
Side Oiler! At the end of my street in OKC was a machine shop I
    got involved with.

They were crazy boat people! I did "shoe" a 14 ft. flat bottom with
a 426 injected Hemi. The neatest thing were a selection of every
FE head less the SOHC. Have you ever held a set of FE tunnel ports?
They were not needed and he asked if I wanted the 2 4V manifold to
go with the heads too! Even free I could not scrape up enough for
the peripherals to install on my '63 Galaxie.

    Now for today:
Brian Wolfe and the chassis builders at Team Z Motorsports developed a swap K-member for the Godzilla engine in the Fox chassis. More details inside!

A monster but, I now am too FKN OLD! I love my 93 GT Mustang!

It would be nice if you could get that engine in a F-150 as a extra option.

I'm sure its a nice motor and will work well in a performance application. But they will be expensive to buy new, and good luck finding any at a junk yard. The LS platform in any of its sizes is plentiful and cheap, especially the run of the mill truck versions.

Summit has them for 7k. I'm just waiting on Holley for an ECU.

They have a couple of options for EMU's and Holley soon.
Aftermarket engine management systems like BigStuff3 and the new Euro-8 from OBR Control Systems will manage the engine without any issues. Our understanding is that Holley EFI is also working on a system for the platform

4.8, 5.3, 6.0 in good enough shape to run as is for under a thousand.

Agreed, but that just takes us back to availability. It's apples to oranges until the Ford starts hitting the junkyards.

Agreed, but the amount available will still trail far behind the GM offerings.

I wish putting a Coyote in my car didn't require a complete reengineering of the front end, those things make awesome power in stock form.
