  • Anyone else in construction?

Or any other industry with heavy immigrant employment? I'm getting a lot of communication today that the guys are refusing to work because it is a national immigrant protest day.

I saw some of the articles and blurbs earlier in the week and it is all in relation to that protest. What a large portion of them don't realize is that they are here legally and this doesn't affect them, unless I have a complete misunderstanding of what the new administration is wanting to do, which is possible. The democrats and MSM, have them scared, and when these guys get scared and don't understand something, they get pissed off.

No shit? I wonder if that affected any of our job sites over that way.

I've been on site at a hospital in Arlington and all of Beck's subs and direct employees were on site.

This would explain why my "Thursday" lunch Mexican restaurant was randomly closed today.

Maybe they'll start to understand that we don't have a problem with the legal immigrants, and a lot of the people that voted for Trump bring their lunches from home and don't eat out all that often.

I've seen a lot of traffic online regarding people eateries closed today.

These businesses closed today (or closed early). Taco casa didnt seem to have any issues as of an hour ago in burleson. I saw a mexican resturant in Austin closed due to lack of employees.

Really, it's not a good protest point, IMHO. Legal immigrants arent working to protest illegal immigrants being held accountable? Seems like a stretch, considering it doesnt have anything to do with them, assuming they are legal.
