  • www.dfwmustangs.net wants to show notifications

Is everyone else getting this damn pop up? When you click it's an advertisement, happens on my work machine, and at home. I'll click "later" and it shows up again on the very next page that I navigate to on the site, so damned annoying.

Glad to hear that it's just me, but I'm perplexed then, as to what exactly is going on. It's a VBB notification from the board, and happens on multiple machines, so tied to the user, not the pc.

It's the same message you'll get when notifications are on for PM's, and when clicked an add for "Best Offers" open in a pop up window.

I've done nothing different on the board recently, or ever really.

You need to find a better source for your porn viewing.

I've never clicked even a slightly questionable link on my work laptop.

That said, I did finally go into the pop up itself, and clicked to turn of notifications, and after that one final Dfwmustangs alert popped up, I clicked "later," and all is right in the world again.

My browsing patters on this site specifically haven't changed in two decades, super odd that this bot got me here.

I've got the exact same thing. Annoying as hell. Started a week or two ago?

Isn’t happening on my end either, no changes have been made to the site. If you can post a screenshot that would be helpful

                  Tip from an IT guy.

                  uBlock Origin extension

                  Chrome, Chromium, Edge, Firefox, etc..

You'll never see a pop up again. But, I would recommend you disable it for banking, medical portals, and other stuff. It can break things.

I would get it from time to time until I clicked "Later". Hasn't come back yet.

I've apparently fixed the issue for now, I'll make a point to save screenshots if/when it comes back.

In my case I had to turn off notifications in the pop up add first, and then could click "later" without it coming back.

I have a screen shot but I'm too stupid to post it. PM me an email or phone number and I will send it to you.

sounds like ad host is bein dodgy, but I block ads with extreme prejudice, so I've not seen it on anything I own/use.
