Applying to the Congress of the United States to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution for the limited purpose of proposing one or more amendments to the constitution to impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and to limit the terms of office of federal officials and members of Congress.

Only thing is, all that is basically already there. What keeps them from just walking all over this one like they do the rest of them

Pretty much this. I like the idea, but it won't physically force the feds to do shit. They ignore everything else.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

Only thing might be, is new laws passed might be enforced with more enthusiasm. Something like "we just passed that shit and now you're breaking it?!" Well, I can hope, anyway.

It passed the house. On to the senate. If passed, need 5 more states, to either have a constitutional convention or constitutional crisis.

We are already in a constitutional crisis...

Anyway, If we see the convention it will be funny to see "President Hillary" deal with the repercussions.....

Wouldn't this pretty much kill socialism in the U.S? I mean, we all know they need to be able to spend like drunk sailors, in order to be able to fund these ridiculous social programs. So if they can't borrow all this money, and rack up all this debt, and have to live within some kind of means, socialism in the U.S should have no choice but to take a huge nosedive. I'm not saying it couldn't still be there, cause obviously it could. Just in a greatly diminished fashion.

Yep, it'll kill quite a few things if the States put a block on the government. They'd actually have to budget and stop granting largess from the treasury

It won't actually do anything. The feds have been blatantly ignoring almost every other amendment and article; throwing one more at them won't make them do anything. Literally the only parts of the constitution I can think of that they haven't ignored recently is collecting taxes and abolishing slavery.
