edit, I went out to the garage and I found two, they are in real fine shape too, I think I remember what happened now. I used to have a set of real Cobra R's on my 97 Cobra before I bought the Saleens, one of them got cracked at a discount tire and the other came apart. I bought a new set from Ford and I saved the old ones, well at least two. Let me see if I can hunt down the other two, but if not at least you will only have too locate another two.
I have two that are in decent shape and two that are cracked also. I will take those good ones from you, let me know how much.

I have not installed them until now for the simple fact the car was not done and I didn't want to pop them in and out 100 times.

I think they will be like the final stamp......well minus pulling the motor apart for powerder coating, maybe putting an automatic in there, etc, etc, etc.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I need to read on the harness for the ignition switch for a "switched ground". I was just lazy and clipped it into the cig lighter ground. Regretfull, I know, but I was wanting to put this bitch on the road. So was my wife. After getting sideways last night and pointing the car right at a mail box in my parents neighborhood, I think she is having second thoughts. lol

I got a taste the other week with a 75 in a 60. Bullshit ticket as there is no way in hell I was doing the 75 he wrote nor the 78 he said. I should have asked to see the gun but I was in a hurry to get to the dyno. Wait, yes, in a hurry but not doing near that fast on that section of road. I went the same way the other day and I didn't feel right even doing 60.
He obviously added the "looks and sounds fast" factor. It's like the sticker that adds 5 HP, but this adds 15 mph.

That ticket was in the Mazda 3 hatch. lol I think he was just pissed off that he was a 45 year old with braces whose dentist played a cruel trick and put red bands on. <---- totaly serious there.

he was working a trap. I called Hurst right after and the lady knew exactly were I just got the ticket cause she tried to tell me it was for a 75 in a 50 (construction zone). I had to read the ticket to her. My guess is she knew exactly what stretch of road I got it on. Even the officer tried pulling that "you know it is 50 before it turns 60, and I clocked you at 78 so you must have been doing that in the 50 zone TOO". Uh no, the car is a turd for power and it was up hill in a tight turn.

Well then, he was citing you for driving a soccer mom vehicle, he must have mistakenly checked the speeding box.

Mazda hatch averages 35 mpg and climbing about 1 mpg per 1,000 miles right now. I can't be mad at it.

You can get even better mpg if you don't speed!

                      Zing!

                        • My wife and I took the Cobra out again today on a "all highway" run. We started at Exit 70 off of I35 and after filling up with E85, we punched up north. We drove up 50 miles and down 50 miles back to the same gas station. I topped the tank off with 6.4 gallons for an average MPG of 15.15. I stayed in 5th and 6th the entire time and kept my foot out of boost.

I am happier and happier with every mile we put on it. She cruises so smooth on the highway and is docile around town if you want her to be.

Engine temps still fluxuate between 175*-190* and it can idle all day and never get above 180*.

I don't understand. Do you not have a thermostat in it? It will run a much more consistent temperature with a 'stat.

If you don't have one, you need one before summertime. The thermostat will allow water to stay in the radiator longer, which will allow it to get cool before returning to the engine.
