Kathy Griffin Thinks Comedy Should Go All Out on ‘President Piece of Shit’ Donald Trump
It’s a question a lot of comedians are asking themselves lately: What should comedy look like during the Trump presidency? “Now more than ever we must absolutely go for all the absurdities,” Kathy Griffin told Vulture at the Equality Now Gala Tuesday night. “For me, that’s Trump and all things Trump. It’s not about trying to be an equal-opportunity offender anymore because Hillary got such a beat down. It’s his turn. So I’m happy to deliver beat down to Donald Trump — and also to Barron. You know a lot of comics are going to go hard for Donald, my edge is that I’ll go direct for Barron. I’m going to get in ahead of the game.”
So, of course, Griffin supported Rosie O’Donnell when she tweeted a video asking if Barron Trump, 10-year-old son of Donald and Melania, was on the autism spectrum. “After the beat down he gave her, she can say whatever she wants to say to that piece of shit,” Griffin said before correcting herself. “Oh, that’s President Piece of Shit.”

I have to congratulate her on this. She actually united the vast majority of the country in opposition to her stupidity. She also did something I thought was impossible, make Trump a sympathetic figure among most American's.
In the end, I really only feel bad for Trump's little kid. I'm actually going to buy into Trump's story that Barron lost it because it thought it was real. That kid is under way too much pressure for an 11 year old as it is.

Movie star and comedian Jim Carrey publicly defended Kathy Griffin’s photo in which she is shown holding a mock head of a decapitated President Trump, saying he has dreamed about battering the president with a golf club.
“I think it is the job of a comedian to cross the line at all times – because that line is not real,” Carrey told Entertainment Tonight when asked Wednesday evening for his thoughts on Griffin’s stunt.
“If you step out into that spotlight and you’re doing the crazy things that [Trump is] doing,” he said, “we’re the last line of defense. And really, the comedians are the last voice of truth in this whole thing. It’s impossible to get away from it.”
Then Carrey recalled a dream he recently had where he considered attacking Trump with a golf club.
“I had a dream the other night I was playing golf with Donald Trump,” he said. “I was standing beside him with a club in my hand, and I was considering my options when I suddenly woke up.
“It was one of those dreams where you just want to get back to sleep so you can finish it, you know?” he said.
