We made the trip down last weekend. Hotel and area around bass pro Dr (Rockwall) wasn’t bad at all. We ate at Texas Land and Cattle one night and then we stopped in Hooters Saturday night. Of course we get the table next to rowdy day labor crowd. One of the guys gets escorted back to his table, from the restroom, by the on-duty Police officer in the restaurant. That is when it started getting interesting. There was about 8 of them and they all got to arguing and getting loud. They were banging the table back and fourth, pointing and yelling at each other. So the police officer came over to the table and sent them packing. Of course, one of the guys was having to be helped out because he can’t hardly stand on his own. So 2 guys are helping him. The police officer is trying to rush them out the door when another guy in the group wants to be the super hero and starts yelling at the officer, to protect his buddies. The officer pulls his taser and does the point and click routine. As soon as the officer clicks the taser the rest of the restaurant goes silent...just waiting for action! That makes the drunk guy even more mad. So the officer points the taser at him. Clicks it a few times. The officer ushers them outside through the side door. About 15 minutes later we are leaving and the police officer is at the front door with the manager and one of the guys from the table. They are waiting for police to come haul him in.

These two statements seem to contradict one another.. If the place requires an cop be there to keep shit under control, I would argue that it is, at least, kinda bad..

Truth. No cops at the Hooters by my office, just bad food.

I never felt uncomfortable so that was my “wasn’t bad at all”, statement. Everyone was dressed pretty nice and other than that one table of outcasts at Hooters, a non eventful trip. I haven’t been to Hooters in 20 years or so. I figured the on duty policemen was the norm to keep all the leg humpers under control. Burger was good....service was mediocre at best. I assure you our waitress would have a hard time keeping the same job in many other restaurants. 6 of us went to eat and 3 burgers were incorrect and one drink was messed up. One of the guys had asked for bacon on the burger. It came out without bacon. He had eaten half of it before the waitress came back around so he explained that there was not any bacon on his bacon cheeseburger. She offered to bring out some. He said, “nah I will just eat it without bacon”......her sarcastic reply as she walked off was.....”well if you say so”......and she was over it already....lol

Garland didn't used to be bad 20+yrs ago, it's where I grew up. It seems like Dallas and all the garbage from it moved East.

But not like business professional grown up. Just an older crappier version completely established in their way type of grown up...

Garland is bad enough that it was a punchline in a 'major motion picture'!
