Not to hard.. I shift around 6000rpm

the tune is perfect. I just don't push the motor that much

That's a lot of horsepower and cylinder pressure for that block. It does sound as if it has some detonation going on if it ate the bearings after six passes.

I think 8100 rpms and some oil starvation might be a contributing factor

              cap walk?

check the parting ends on the caps for signs of cap walk. You could be elongating the main bolts enough to lose oil to the mains. The rod bearings would show that too. detonation is a monster
Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

Was the thrust knocked out too? If it was, that's often the beginning catalyst for knocking out the rest of the bearings.

I traded a Walter p99 .40 for the rotating assembly, lifts, and the Anderson cam (b-451) and bought the block for $150 already machined and had it assembled and balanced for $425. It ran over a 100 passes that year and a best of 5.42 @ 128 with a 75mm s400. That was the best damn cheap motor I have ever see !!!

Btw my current 351 I have over double maybe triple in it and it won't run near what that setup ran.

That's what I was thinking too.

Lol that's because you don't have the heads or the turbo to do it. It could if you had the same ingredients. Don't sell the block short.

8100 on windsor bearings will toast them quick...too much bearing surface going too fast per revolution. Sounds like the 8100 was an accident but if you are going to spin it like that, get a block with cleveland mains. Then you can spin the shit out of it!

I am not selling the block short. I just haven't see another setup run near those times.

Hell I don't know if your motor that has all the good stuff will even run those times!!
