Yesterday, they were hyping the possibility of the dems taking over. After the ass kicking last night, they've twisted their story to fit the facts, but still make it sound like they are about to prevail.

All the democrats need is to turn over our voter ID laws. If only half of their voters were allowed to cast two ballots they'd flip Texas.

I usually vote early, but I wasn't even aware the election was coming, except for seeing a few signs here and there. It's like the mainstream media has been keeping it on the down low.
I believe the 105% is an increase over 2014's primary.

Just a primary guys, nothing is turning blue --------- November is for that.

She doesn't even have a R candidate running against her.

Sheila Jackson Lee does, with 216 followers and about $3 to campaign with. https://www.facebook.com/Ava-for-Con...6965147465733/

And Robert Francis "Beto" O'Rourke spend 4.2 Million Dollars and didn't even get half the vote that Ted Cruz got.

                    This looks real bad.

                    100 increased by 105% = 205

                    1000 increased by 15% = 1150

Just an example showing that a "percentage of increase" has nothing to do with overall numbers.

I have a feeling most of those democrat voters showed up just for Beto. Shareblue/mediamatters/David Brock thinks Cruz is vulnerable for some reason so they've had their shills standing on the overpasses in Austin with signs.

I worked the polls yesterday and... it was almost painful for the Democrats. Out of 140 or so votes at my location, 6 were for D's and 3 of them were because "I'm not voting for Trump."

I couldn't tell them Trump wasn't on the ballot but I did have some that told me that they were Democrats but they wanted a Republican ticket. Quite a few actually and I didn't know how to take that.

Maybe they are thinking that they can vote on the R ballot and help vote the weaker candidate in, then when the general elections come up, it will give the their d candidate a better shot. Can voters in Texas switch parties during the primaries like they can in some other states?

It's not really switching. You can use whichever ballot you want per election cycle. I voted in the Democrat primary during the Clinton/Obama race and had two Obama volunteers show up at my house about a month later. The parties get a list of who voted on their ballot.
