  • Body shop needed

I got rear ended in my 09 Tuesday afternoon. It's not bad, just needs the bumper cover repaired (not cracked) and painted and the impact strip replaced.

Who can recommend a good body shop. I'm not taking it to Bob Tomes since they never could correctly repair any vehicle we've taken to them.

Service King did my mom's car, but it had to go back a couple of times because the shade of the paint was WAY off.

I'll post pics of the damage later tonight.

Forgot to add pics...it's not that bad. In fact, I'm in worse shape than the car. I ended up with a back and neck injury.

Hopefully, I will be able to drop it off wherever as early as Tuesday morning. The insurance company has not made any determinations yet, but I expect to hear from them Monday morning.

Just now seeing this...I went to Collision Specialists of Texas in Mansfield. They did okay for what they had to work with. They tried to put an aftermarket cover on it, but the fit was terrible. I think they rushed to finish the OEM bumper so the paint is slightly off and the tips of the bumper (by the tires) started to chip within a few days. It doesn't look bad, just noticeable to me.

They have a lifetime warranty on the repair, I just haven't had the time to take it back down to them yet since they are in Mansfield and I am in McKinney. I might do that next week while I am off of work though.

If it was a preferred shop from the insurance you should be able to take it to a preferred shop in Mckinney .
