    Saw it over the weekend and really enjoyed it. With it being the 50th anniversary for Bond, I figured there would be a few "salutes" to the 1st generation. Nice touches, IMHO.

      It was good, but it was definitely no Casino Royale, as everyone has mentioned. It seemed to be a rather peculiar story line. They focused on Bond recovering/coming back too much, it seemed like the whole movie was about his recovery, and there was no real climax, at least, there didn't seem to be for me.

      The part where Bardem shot the bond girl (I guess she played that part) was great, didn't really think they'd completely off her, but I liked the fact they did it.

          Saw it Saturday and I gotta agree with Eric, I wasn't impressed. I even think Quantum of Solace was better. For one I think the story could have been better, it bounced around to much for me and didn't have a good flow. Second, I think the bad guy could have been better. Come on, a hacker? Didn't even work for any secret organization? And the ending with Bond throwing a knife in his back? Again to me was lame. I think I might have even dozed off somewhere. Man I'm still disappointed. I think the acting was good and I can deal with there not being a "Bond" girl but there simply wasn't a good enough story and not enough action for a Bond movie IMO. Didn't have to be over board, I think the action in both of the last two movies was enough and realistic and had just enough gadgets to make it interesting.

            I would agree with that. What I really liked about Casino Royale was the fact that it followed a somewhat bond-esque plot line, the girl, the car, the chase, the fight. But, as a bonus when it appeared to end, it didn't... which I loved the shit out of.

                Watched it tonight. Definitely better than QoS but not as good as Casino Royale. I didn't catch most of the nods to the old bond films; I never watched them. Well worth the $5.

                    Saw it yesterday and thought it was pretty good. I did expect more gadgets but I thought they did ok. I liked the bike chase in the opening scene....and while I would agree there weren't many cool cars.....I did like that they used the Aston Martin DB5 from the earlier films....but wasn't too happy when they destroyed it. Sucks that they killed off Judi Dench as M....I thought she was the best one of them all.
