  • Westborro got nailed by vet

So at the funeral today for Fallen Soldier Sgt. Johnson a Westboro member decided it would be smart to stomp on the American flag. A Soldier did not take kindly to that and broke through the line, hitting one of the protestors that was disgracing Old Glory. As he was being arrested, two other Soldiers rescued the flag. A friend of mine filmed it. -

We just got our hands on this video from our friends at Stolen Valor – in it, members of the Westboro Baptist Church protesting the funeral of Sgt. Johnson attempt to disrespect the American flag, some soldiers liberate the flag and land a solid one to a WBC member.

Something like this is only a matter of time and while we appreciate the freedom of speech and expression we have in this nation we all must remember that words carry weight and there are consequences.

    Let’s hear your thoughts.

Could he have made the video smaller, I can almost see people in it?

Seriously though, I'm all for freedom of speech. That being said, fuck those people. They keep it up and they're going to end up getting murdered. And when it happens I'll raise a glass of bourbon and toast the trigger man. Frost, have you seen Red State? I think you might like it.

They want to be hit, to get a violent reaction as that's how they support their actions. I love that the soldier was released without charge.

        it would be justifiable homicide

Factor in PTSD, TBI and the increased emotions already at a funeral of a service member, I can see adding their chanting, signs and then desecration of a flag as a crime of passion

I suppose it's out of respect for the funerals

I don't know why there hasn't been a organized effor to bring baseball bats and bullrush the WBC and eliminate them.

The second vid was soo much clearer! There is no excuse for doing this to the flag--- I know I know it's legal. But c-mone man! This pisses me off so bad. Absolutely no reason for it. When I was a teenager the war in Vietnam was raging, it was a very unpopular struggle. Flag burning was common.
Not saying it is justified under any circumstance. But it was a daily thing across the country. In this day of terrorist anti American sentiment, there should be a "zero" tolerance for this type of desecration , at least from American citizens within the borders of our 50 states.

My personal feelings, and I am a democrat(a conservative one). Not to be confused with liberals.

While the cops were busy arresting the soldier, 2 more moved in and rescued the flag.
