Trucks have a 2.7 V6 EcoBoost and a 3.5 V6 EcoBoost option. There's a 2.0 EcoBoost option for some of the SUVs, but the Ford Edge Sport has a 2.7 V6 EcoBoost, and the Ford Explorer Sport has the 3.5 V6 EcoBoost. The Ford Fusion Sport has the 2.7 V6 EcoBoost, as well.Originally posted by Big A View Post

I suppose Ford's logic is that the 3.7 ecoboost in the mustang would compromise sales of the 5.0. Kinda silly that you can get it in the Fusion, but not the Mustang. For the record, I'd have been a serious looker had the Fusion Sport been offered with the 5.0, but I'm 110% happy with the stang at this point (no passengers yet).Comment

I guess they could have offered the V-6 EB in the Mustang, but I know that a 5.0 is probably not going to fit in a Fusion and it would have to be mounted in FWD configuration with AWD as well. The 5.0 makes too much HP & TQ in that format. Now I'm not saying it couldn't be done but the bean counters and engineers would be having fits.Originally posted by Big A View Post
I can tell you that this 2.3 EB hauls ass in stock form and with the weight savings, 400HP&TQ with a few mods this thing will run very nicely.
