Not a single Texas County on that list. Damn slackers. My home of Ouachita Parish comes in at 18. This is also the home of the Robertsons from Duck Commander.

City Data List has published Americas top 30 heaviest armed counties, and what’s not on the list is truly what’s most shocking.
The list is below. Have a gander, and see if you notice what’s missing.

1) Fairbanks borough, AK – 59.1%
2) Tooele County, UT – 59.1%
3) Nez Perce County, ID – 59.0%
4) Armstrong County, PA – 57.6%
5) Rapides Parish, LA – 52.8%
6) Teller County, CO – 52.3%
7) Darlington County, SC – 52.1%
8) Franklin County, VT – 51.7%
9) Randolph County, NC – 51.1%
10) Canyon County, ID – 50.9%
11) Anchorage Municipality, AK – 50.0%

Have you noticed what’s missing? That’s right, TEXAS! The 2nd biggest state in the union, and supposedly the most firearms friendly state, doesn’t have one single county on the list. As a matter of fact, the first Texas county to even make the list is Harris County coming in at a dismal #73. So now not only is Texas one of only 5 states in the union (6 if you include Washington D.C.) not allowing open carry, the supposed conservative firearms friendly state consisting of over 268,000 square miles barely has one county making the top 100.
However Texas’s neighbor Louisiana, a state 1/5 the size (52K square miles), has 6 parishes in the top 30. Even rural Vermont located in the midst of a northeastern liberal utopia had a county make the cut.
As many liberals migrate to the Lone Star State in search of lower taxes, cheaper cost of living, and higher employment rates, they bring their liberal anti-gun ideology with them.
It’s time that we as Americans stop believing stereotypes, and look at the facts. TEXAS IS NOT FIREARMS FRIENDLY, AND MIGHT NOT STAY RED FOREVER!
