  • Lift Kit Guy on the Board?

I can't remember the exact name.. Slammy or something like that. Looking for the guy that used to lift/lower trucks from here and the old board...

I've got one for my Duramax I just don't have the time to do but since I already have the kit in hand the big box guys are telling me to take a hike.

Was it 'William Wallace' who did the lowering? I seem to remember him having some pretty nice lowered vehicles.

Yep, Superballew. I was working at the Infomart one night six or so years ago and he crashed his motorcycle on the freeway out front. Didn't realize it was him until the next day when it was posted here.

Edit - Just saw it was 2010 in the memorial thread.

just out of curiosity, what brand of lift did you go with? I have a duramax as well and have been looking at different kits.

                          Cognito.

Basically taking off a leveling kit and running the lift at the low end of the height adjustment. I've had really good luck with their stuff plus; CST, and BDS. If it's something you want to keep spend the money on a nice kit. I bought this one to build and keep for a long time. I refuse to buy a late model diesel so I'm doing this one up exactly how I want it.

I have a rigged leveling kit on mine. Changed the torsion keys out years ago and the ride is not great and I break pitman arms about every 10-12 months. I was going to get rid of it, but have put so much in to it, I have decided to keep it. I don't want anything crazy, just something lifted properly and a decent ride. I'll look in to the Cognito. PM me if you don't mind and let me know what they are charging to install.
