Why do you say bring it on the highway? Cause a fox with less than 2500 in mods is faster than you at the track?

100% true. His car is a freak and he drives the shit out of it. Though I will say put a 175 shot on a 4v with slicks, gears and a beast driver like Mark, I bet it runs the same.

                    • A used set of good aluminum heads, F-Cam, and a used On3 or B&G turbo kit can be had for less than $2500. That should trap with a fairly high MPH. I bought my AFR's with 1.6 RR's over on the old site for $700.

                      • You'd be had pressed to do all of that for $2500. MAYBE with the On3 kit, but I doubt it. Don't forget injectors, pump, maf, etc. I bought some of my stuff new, but here's what I've got in mine.

                        255lph Fuel Pump $100.00 NEW
                        42# injectors $220.00 USED
                        MSD 6AL-2 $260.00 NEW
                        PMAS MAF Meter $260.00 NEW
                        B&G Turbo Kit $2,750.00 NEW
                        ARP Hardware $100.00 NEW
                        T-Rex $65.00 USED
Edelbrock Heads $750.00 USED TOTAL $4505.00

That doesn't count extra items like boost guage, wideband, SCT chip, or any mods to the basics (radiator, electric fan, 3G alternator, etc.)

Don't get me wrong, it's still worth every penny though!

Those times were with the e7 heads. I havent ran it hard at the track yet with the trickflows. We will run when I make it over there one evening. It will be a good race

                              LOL... it never gets old.

Also, I've seen cammed SD cars. Not common, but they're out there.

                              • You would need to force O/L at idle and disable the IAC at idle speed. Basically it becomes a carbed setup. Usually SD cars can have anthing under 220ยบ dur and a LAS of 114 or greater and still keep C/L operational. Forcing O/L and disabling the IAC is just theoretical as I have never personally done that to my SD vehicle, but it should work just fine.
