  • New Edge Mustang (99-04) Air Intake

As Facebook friends probably know, Lea's son did some damage to his 2001 gt recently. It will probably be a few weeks before he will be able to start fixing it, but in the meantime needs to drive.

The concern is that the inner fender plastic shield is gone, as well as the passenger side of his bumper. This is exposing his fender well Cai.

Does anyone have the factory air intake, or a Cai that still has the filter in the engine bay that they can part with? With the rain, the filter is going to be soaked and we don't want anything to get fucked up.

Pic for reference (how he is driving it for now):

      At least you color matched!

Just put the tape around the CAI too.

Lol! Why didn't I think of that!

Yeah, the color match was a fluke. I had just bought that roll of tape like 2 days before the accident. He wanted to roll with no bumper at all, but I figured this was a better alternative.

FYI, Juiceweezl pointed out that I forgot to mention Mustang in the title so it looked like we needed something for a Ford Edge. We need a Mustang intake, not an Edge intake.

Sorry for any confusion, and thanks!

Haha.. It was only half his fault. And since he only has liability insurance, the repair will be on him. That is his punishment.

Snag one of those covers for it and just run it as it.

Interesting option! Would really rather move it to the engine bay, for ease in servicing filters (once the car is fixed) but that may be a good temp solution. Thanks!

Can you cut the CAI and place the filter in the engine bay?
