I have to deal with French taxes on stock I get from my company. Pay a CPA 120$ to do mine in TN last few years

I'm in the same boat - around $1600 last year. I've got personal ("farm" + rental) and business to file.

I'm pondering shopping around. I don't know how other CPA's operate, but I can call or drop by just about any time and get advice for free. My only fee is the tax filing at the end of the year. If other CPA's do the same and charge 1/3 of what I'm paying, I'm getting screwed.

I think you're getting screwed. I can also call mine anytime with random questions or whatever, and he'll get back to me same day with anything we need... for way less money.

              375 for personal
1,100 for business. It is a very complicated business though!
