The next house will be just as bad.

Exactly. Make an extra $100k on your sale just to turn around and overpay out the ass for something else? Nah.

I've got no intention on selling. I build for a living and am quite familiar with the cost to build then vs. Now.

We just sold our house in Farmers Branch for $150k more than we paid - been there two years. Bought a new house on two acres in BFE farmersville. Probably paid a premium, but a huge upgrade and with the money from our old house the finances were basically an even swap. I think it helped that we bought outside the metroplex.

Just wait for the current housing bubble to pop. Then it'll be worth 100k less what you paid for it!

What part of farmersville? I'm on the edge of Josephine and Caddo Mills

Other side of 380 from me. We are in a subdivision of 1-1.5 acre lots
