I will have to stay away from that recipe.
    Not really. It's diet oatmeal

It's not like you eat a ton of it. Besides, I'm sure I burn off the calories by the end of the day.

That's actually why I enjoy it. I grew up quite poor and often times had nothing to eat except for wet napkins. Oatmeal is pure nostalgia for me.

That explains why we never had any paper towels or napkins at the house

I take half a cup of instant oats add one cup of water and throw it in the microwave for 2 minutes. If I want to fancy it up I'll use filtered water from the fridge and maybe some maple syrup or honey.

I've never really liked the idea of oatmeal, but that sounds like something worth eating.

This thread got me to thinkin and my stomach to growling.

                        One packet instant oatmeal
                        half teaspoon vanilla
                        two scoops butter
                        two tablespoons brown sugar
                        couple scoops rasins
side of toast allowed to set in oatmeal

Impressed myself enough I ate two bowls. Now I'm out of oatmeal.
Why put off till tomorrow what you can put off till the next day?

                          I'd hardly call that oatmeal
