For myself, it's having a very narrow focus. Once every 3 to 5 years a game comes out that I really like, and I play it in little bits for a long time. The last one was Skyrim, which I think came out in 2011. This next one will be Star Wars Battlefront, which comes out next week. It'll probably be another few years before there is a game I have to play.

There is always government money involved when it comes to major events like an F-1 race. Whether it be land grants, tax credits, improved infrastructure or whatever.

COTA generates over $700 million a year in revenue for the city of Austin, a vast majority of which is from the F-1 race. They get a lot more than $25 million a year in taxes from hotels, bars, restaurants and taxis.

If it brings in soo much fucking money then the private sector should pass the hat and fund it themselves. The government handing out money like that should result in a prison sentence for everyone involved.
