You don't have to spend $50k, 6-speed GT's can be had for $40k or less. Of course its a non-premium, no PP1, but they can be had. I paid $43k for mine and it was loaded (no active suspension). I saw a few on Ebay in the mid $40's with PP1 and 10-speeds.
Now if you want the fully loaded optioned out MACH1, then yes, you are going to pay upwards of $60k and a fully loaded GT vert might be a little over $50k, but its still a bargain for the performance you get and its a quality car.
