  • How to improve 1/8 mile times?

I have a 98 cobra that I had an s trim and a stock motor with 4.56 gears 5 speed 389 hp and rev limiter set at 6k with 26" et drags I ran a 7.87 at 91 in the 8th. Now it's a built motor with 550 rwhp and 3.73 gears same slicks and 5 spd. My best time is 7.45 at 96-97 in the 8th. Car has 90/10 up front with ford b springs tubular k member 03 cobra front control arms with mega bite jr lower rear arms. Supercharger is now a t trim at 15 lb boost. What is the best way to get lower 7s to high 6's in the 8th? Do I need to go back to 4.10-4.30 gears to get there? I cross the lines at the top of 3rd gear now which I thought should put me the top of 4th in the 1/4? I'm not too worried about 1/4 mile though. The car I need to beat wont run me in the 1/4. Thanks for any suggestions

28 inch tire would help get the 60 down with your power level imho.

You should be in the 1.5s to 1.6s atleast.

I wish I would have gone auto instead of upgrading my t45 but I didn't want that at the time and don't want to spend that kind of money at this time. I know with some small changes in my set up I should be able to get 6's. just trying to figure cheapest easiest way to it. Thanks for the ls swap comments lol

Why would you rev limit a 4v to 6k?

You can pick up a tenth on every 100 pounds you loose.
