  • Where to get prime brisket?

I'm looking for some prime brisket for the weekend and don't know who all carries them. I know Costco used too but don't remember if they always do.

I don't want to pay a fortune for Wagyu at local yocal either.

Any leads in the plano/Frisco/Allen/McKinney area.

I can also settle for CAB if required.

Costco will be cheaper I think HEB usually runs in the $4.50 range for prime

Costco had some this weekend by my house, but they really looked like total shit. I know brisket has some fat, but these were like all fat, like Winco variety shit. I was disappointed, so did not pick one up.

The Costco at Eldorado and Tollway in Frisco has them every time I've been in there, don't recall the price per pound though but most they had out last I looked were around $45-$50/each.

Costco in SW Fort Worth had plenty on Monday for $2.99 a pound. I cooked a 10 pounder yesterday and it turned out awesome.

                Thanks everyone...ill check Costco.

I don't mind trimming a lot of fat as long as it's marbled well. It's only for 8 of us so 9-10lbs is plenty

Trimmed vs untrimmed most likely. Prime is obviously going to have more fat than choice.

Costco is usually where I go for prime briskets. Especially these days, their prime prices are better than everyone else's choice prices. That $2.99/lb is every day, not a sale price.

As much as I love local yocal...thats the most overpriced place to buy brisket. For the last several months they've only had Wagyu to the tune of like $8/lb. I'll pay the extra for a Wagyu steak....but the brisket isn't enough better to justify $5/lb extra for a 14 lb cut of meat.

They used to carry CAB, but even that was like $4-5/lb

I've been getting some great aged ribeyes from hirschs meats in Plano. Never looked at their brisket though

These were untrimmed, but seriously, all fat! I've gotten them from Costco before, these just looked bad, compared to previous ones I've gotten/seen there.

Good call men. Got a nice looking prime and they had a decent selection.
