while the porsche 917 was an amazing car (fastest model had a top speed of over 260 mph with 1,580 hp and 0-200mph time was 10.9 seconds) and still holds the lap record at Le Mans (set back in 1971!!), I dont think it's a sexy looking car. but it wasnt built for that, obviously.

Have you seen some of the Shelby Daytona coupes?

That would probably be my choice at this point. I was seriously looking at Factory Five AC Cobras back in the 90s, but never could convince myself to do it.

Factory Five AC Cobra for sure. I've always been a sucker for a roadster and nothing looks better than a well done Cobra. A close second would be the GT-40 replica in Gulf regalia.
