BETTER than Alliance IMHO. I like the old war birds way better.. Plus you can get a ride in these if you wanna throw the money down. Pretty reasonable.

You should go to both. The older MIG from South Texas that comes to Alliance every year is my favorite and of course the F22.

The wife got two tickets from work, and the kiddos are free and $5, so I think we're going to make a Sunday out of it.

Only $1500 to ride in the nose of FiFi.

$600 for a waist gunner spot.

                        I won't be going.

The first year they held it, it wasn't well-publicized. I managed to hear that there was "an airshow" at Red Bird, and I ditched work on Friday to roll out there and just see what was there. I was flabbergasted. Hands down the best air show I'd ever been to! More bombers than I had ever seen together in one place. Had a beer with a Zero pilot from the Tora Tora Tora show.

I've tried going the last two years during the weekend. Both times I waited for a half hour on the street because that show is a disorganized mess. It's one person taking money for entry. I got so pissed off both times that I didn't bother staying long enough to get in the gate.

I hope this year is different. Let me know if it is. I highly suggest bailing on work tomorrow, and going early to avoid all the crowds. It should be an awesome time.

Also, I'm taking a ride in Cavanaugh's P-51 the following weekend...

You're an asshole. I really want to ride in their Corsair

As for CAF, I was going to head over there tomorrow afternoon. 3pm bomber formation practice, and likley FAR fewer people, but some douche decided to schedule an afternoon conference call that I can't get out of.
So now I'm not sure if I'm even going to go. I've done over 3000 miles of roadtripping over the past couple weeks, so sitting in a line like that might push me over the edge.

Yeah, I wanted to ride that big-ass radial too. Same price as the P-51. But this little piece of plexi is all you get to see out of. As cool as I think the Corsair is, I decided to ride in a bubble canopy.
