  • finger printing in the work place (TEXAS)

is it illegal or is it might right to refuse a finger print in the workplace?
could i be terminated for refusing to be printed?
i am already employed and nothing has come about for me to be printed.
i have started entering other departments that may require it.
    thanks
    Ed

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

We have biometric fingerprint system in our building and cannot enter/leave until scanned. No big deal.

I'd imagine it's their prerogative to ask for prints, your right to deny them and then legal for them to not hire/terminate you.

I'm not up to speed on why you would not wornt to, but I've been fingerprinted 20+ times for clearances, jobs, CHL...etc..etc. Straight forward.

Just put superglue on your fingertips prior to getting printed.

More info is needed like why do they want them if they just want them I think that is an issue.
