If you have someone with you that can look at the bike, sounds like a ok deal. Go for it

Honestly I'd sell the 4 wheeler and then turn around and spend the money on a good used standard or something.

Get an insurance quote as sportbikes tend to be pricey to insure, also generally the money you "save" on fuel you wind up spending on tires, chians, ect.

I seriously doubt it will be anywhere near $800.

When I was still married my wife wanted to dump her SV650 and get a GSXR. We were both 23 I had a few speeding tickets but the wife was clean on traffic infractions and accidents.

Geico wanted 3800 a year to insure that bike with her as the rider and 5 years of time with a MC class on her license. Lowest we could find even with both of us on the insurance was over 2 grand a year. Needless to say she didnt get her gSXR on my dime.

Mechanically the Cbr is a great bike obviously I'm a little biased but I've had no issues out of the 06 I had or the 07 I have now. I'd look at it and go from there. You can pick up an eBay fairing kit for $450-$540 and have a decent looking bike.
