  • Just my luck

I put a new set of michelins on the truck 2 months ago, nail in the sidewall today. I didn't buy the extra road hazard. This looks like about $200.00 worth of a mistake.

Discount tire? If so they usually pro-rate based on mileage and mfg warranty.

If you buy at Costco they include them.

Manufacturers don't warranty tires with sidewall punctures, or any punctures period.

Was the tire flat only on the bottom?

I’ve had discount tire pro rate then for me, and I never buy extra coverage. It’s a waste. I’ve bought over a hundred tires in my life or more , and can count the ones I’ve lost on one hand.

                            Sucks dude!

Not trying to one-up, hoping maybe this will make you feel better:

Bought new 40s for my truck last May. Two months later, with less than 500 miles on them, I hit a piece of metal or something on a trail and gouged the sidewalls on BOTH of the passenger side tires. They were ruined. Had to get it towed to he crib and replace both tires. $1100 down the drain.

That should be covered under warranty!
