  • V8 ranger mounts?

Is there a factory mount that will drop a pushrod 302 into an 89 ranger, or am I stuck using swap mounts? If that's the case, is there a low buck option that y'all know of that is a bolt in affair? I'm not worried about header clearance or anything. just want to bolt the bitch in.

You can make anything bolt in with a welder and a grinder.

I currently have neither. That will change during this project. But I don't trust my "skills" to build my own mounts first thing.

Search Fordrangerforum and the like for the best ones, but they’re all hit and miss on those years.

For what’s out there, you’re better off fabbing your own. It’s not too difficult.

Would V8 exploder mounts not work?

Summit sales both weld in and bolt in kits for this kind of swap all day long. Give them a call.

The Ranger and Exploder are almost identical
              parts wise.
Next the 4406 transfer case swap blah blah blah...

God I love it! Hot Rods are not DEAD!!

Considering you can get a running v8 exploder for 1000 bucks that's probably the easiest cheapest way to get all the parts you need

I already have my engine and trans, and the truck its going in. Just seeing what mounts I'll need.
