          Screw up? F*ck up? No, the wanton destruction of evidence and trying to hide it is no "screw up".

          Overzealous with a gun? Maybe. But an illegal confiscation without a warrant outside of a crime scene and destruction of private property is far from just messing up.

          Police are bestowed with the public trust. To violate that with the willful abuse of power to hide the truth of matters is out right disgusting and an affront to that trust. Cops that use their power to abuse the system deserve what us "civilians" get, but 10 fold.

            Case law says that your personal devices are not subject to privacy laws and that law enforcement doesn't need a warrant to access them.
