Man, I live in the city, but in a very quiet neighborhood. It's nice, but there's something to be said about living out in the country. Congrats and hope you enjoy it!

nothing compares with country living . being part of the land is a wonderful connection . i wouldn't trade it for anything even though it's hard living .

keep in mind there is only one thing you can do after lighting off a burn pile .
run in circle yelling oh shit ! ask fitzwell about my place. first pile 40 ft across 8-10 ft high and 50 yards long. talk about panic . scared hell out of me even though it was in the middle of 10 acres of dirt . good luck .

We won't burn when it's super dry. And I'll burn from one end of the pile to the other. And we'll have a tractor or dozer on hand.

I learned a lot at the other place the first time I had flames standing strong 30+ft in the air on a small burn pile that I constructed and lit like a bon fire! 1. A little diesel goes a long way... 2. 6 month old Christmas trees are just shy of explosive!

We've been in the country for a while now. We just own a little more of it than we used to.

We used to back up to 90 acres of county-owned property that's really pretty.

Now we're in an area with mostly 5+ acre lots. It's hard to describe, but the layout of the property and the adjoining properties couldn't maximize the privacy or the view off the back porch any better.

The property is narrow and flanked by farm land. The fence lines are brushed up nicely. The house is 250ft from the road, and there isn't a hundred feet of road visible.

There are three tree lines between the house and the back field, so the feeling in the far back of the property is very private and secluded. Heaven on earth for an introverted country mouse

We've been clearing trees so that you can see through to the next layer. Now you can sit on the porch and see all the way to the property line, but not much of it! Just wanted to enhance the depth perception

eh... I'm growing more and more fuddy duddy as I get older. I enjoy the privacy of not having pics of my life all over the net. But I'm also flat out too fucking lazy to take and upload pics. Especially after I shattered the lens on my phone's camera. I have another phone I use as a business line that I could use, but... this is starting to sound like work! LOL

I could put a 60x100 building out back that you'd barely see from the house, never mind the street.

Probably never happen, but not for lack of a good spot for it! Lol
