hmmmm. stick with a chicken fried steak. Their rolls with honey butter are good. The rest is over salted shit.

          Most everyone here hates them.

Personally I've never gotten a bad meal there. Far from award winning, but never bad. I've had worse steaks from 3 forks.

who says they won't to talk?

To be honest, if you are looking for a good dinner(steak) that isn't crazy expensive, look up Houstons.

Most of the nice steakhouses really aren't that expensive if you don't drink. What gets expensive, is when you've got a couple $15 salads, two mid $30 entrees, a couple of sides, dessert, and a bottle of wine.

Houston's is roughly the same price as Bob's Steak & Chop. Bob's Grapevine is my recommendation. The rest of the locations don't measure up, IMO. If Houston's is your cup of tea, try Winewood in Grapevine. Or R&D Kitchen, which is also owned by Hillstone (same people that own Houston's).

Not a fan of TX Roadhouse. subpar steaks, dirty, and loud. Danny, obviously disagrees with me here, and says he can get the same steak at TX Roadhouse as I can at Bob's. Poor guy doesn't know his prime beef.

I agree that most steakhouses have close to the same pricing on the meat. It is just prime steaks afterall. I don't normally drink alcohol at dinner so I get away with not having to pay for beer or wine. Normally at a place like Mortons, Ruth Chris, etc the wife and I get out at about $120 with tip.

it's just a chain casual dining place. Not bad, but nothing spectacular. My wife's twin cousins are managers for the TR.
