See, a funeral procession happens ONCE. And if it's big enough to stop traffic, it gets a police escort. I'm ok with that. I've never seen a funeral completely shut down a highway for one second, let alone several minutes. Maybe when the president is in town, they shut down sections - but johnny crotch rocket does not deserve the same treatment.

An annual riot that has nothing to do with the deceased is not acceptable. If they want to have a ride, that's fine - get everyone in one lane and keep moving so the rest of the highway can be used by the 99.99999% of the rest of us that didn't know / didn't care about the dead guy.

Oh - and you can think I'm a dick - that's fine, I probably am - but I've never shut down the highway to cry about my dead friends. I know all of the spots on the roads where they died - I don't need to inconvenience thousands of people to pay my respects - I can go to their grave like a normal person, and mourn without creating a problem for others. But, again, that's not what this ride is really about anyway.

Its just a different way for paying respect to someones friend.

It didnt affect you did it? Why have so much hatred for people who are doing what their lost one wanted?

Our mistake, was this a funeral procession? How many funeral processions do you STOP for on the highway? Answer = None. Say the bikers sat there for 5 minutes. They affected Dallas traffic for probably at least 2 hours. Every one of those riders should be in jail. I am willing to bet most probably will be.

I have no issue with bike riders if they want to ride and follow most of the rules, but what a bunch of fucking dickheads these people are. I would have no problem if DPD rounded them all up and fined the shit out of every single one the next time this happens.

Again, its not a valid argument. It will happen again, each and every year. Try arguing over something more valid and get to the bottom of something like, have we really landed on the moon, where is Tu-Pac? You would have much more luck there!

I sat beside him the night he went in as I was riding with him that day, total freak accident that landed him there.

Its just a way to get everyone together and hang out, not the brightest idea but its what crash honestly would have wanted.

                RIP Jeremy
He committed suicide and her deserves respect? I guess I'm confused. If that's what he would've wanted to happen he sounds more like an immature kid than a damn good guy.

They are blocking off a public highway. Thats more then fines. Hopefully DPD finds enough on those videos to get alot of them now. I would serve the warrants on them 1 week before their next illegal act.

Its a long story and a very hard one at that, yes he did take the easy way out. His wife of 3 kids did some shady things behind his back while he was in a coma and acted like everything was hunky dory when he finally came out of it, then a year later more stuff came out in the open what she was doing with someone else, it was just so many things he could not deal with it and clearly was not in the right state of mind.

And Jeremy was a damn good guy, always there to help ANYONE out no matter what it was for. He was there to talk to, hang out with, always there for you. And nobody ever thought he would do something like this, total surprise to everyone and a very sad story that he left 3 children behind.

Talk all the shit you want, He was my friend and will always be in my mind.

A good number of that pack traveled from out of town or even from another state to participate in this "memorial" ride.

DPD is going to be very busy trying to identify people to levy charges upon.

                      This Thursday should be interesting...

maybe they should have an annual mass suicide instead, wonder how many years they can keep that going...

This shit makes my blood boil. And Stunter Bob, just when I thought you grew up you go and show your still an idiot. Comparing dumbasses like this stopping traffic in the name of some dipshit killing himself and your going to compare that to a one time funeral procession?

Sounds like he was a criminal, and not a good guy.

                                edit: beat to it.
