  • Preseeded soil?

Does anyone sell soil by the cubic yard that is preseeded with grass seed? I need to seed and float my whole backyard. I am also trying to get some good "soil" coverage instead of the shitty clay that is all over my yard, hopefully that will help keep the moisture in the ground.
    My backyard looks like this:

Clay keeps moisture well. You should add organic material to keep cracks from forming. Pennington sells a seed/mulch mix that does well.

What is a good cheap organic material? I hear it's sometimes free.

Mulch is as cheap as renting a chipper and running all your yard waste through it.

You can get a cubic yard of mix soil (compost/manure/top soil) at Whiz Q Stone for like $80. They will deliver as well but there may be a minimum

You could also keep any kitchen waste you generate and start composting. It's free organic matter.
