  • Gunsmith Keller / Plano

Just curious, any gunsmiths on the board? Looking for recommendations for some minor smithing on an older Mauser pistol that was given to me. Would like to carry as a back up but have never run any rounds through it And want to make sure there’s nothing wrong with it before I do.

Nothing major just a breakdown, cleaning, full inspection for wear or worn parts and replacement of Springs. From what it looks like, very few rounds run through it. .380/.9mm

    TIA

Andrew Macfarlane is the master smith and owner. I use him for all my needs.
Does a fantastic job, but he is in demand and sometimes has a wait.
    In Southlake.

Let him know Randy from CNA Tech sent ya.

(hopefully he won't charge ya double, HA.)

Also highly reccomend Andrew. He handled my father's mauser pistol.

            Your dads is a .32?

Any issues with it? I’ve read that the 380/9 mm occasionally have a ramp issue but like I’ve said, I haven’t run any rounds through this one yet

Yep, his is a .32 ACP Model 34 . Andrew absolutely loved it, and did a historical check on the gun, found out it came from the best of the Mauser factories and told us a little about where probably that serial number range went to.

As far as shooting goes, thing is super smooth. 7 round capacity goes by quick, but it is an outright pleasure to shoot.
