Do i need the extra cage kit that is sold for the double din? also do i need a harness to attach the radio to the truck?

You will need a harness and 2 DIN kit. I don't know what the cage is that you're talking about. You will not need the metal 2 DIN sleeve that comes with most 2 DIN decks.
