Check the link in cobramans post to my cars build thread for pics..

To install the mII rack you need...
    M II rack
Polly offset rack bushings 15 shiped on ebay..
U-joint size 26spline 9/16 end and 3/4 smooth end. About 49 on ebay..
Fox mount is 15.5" wide. M2 rack is 16" wide.
You must slice the thin side of the offset bushing off so it looks like an open moon arc..
For shaft.. take stock shaft and cut off the rag joint.. measure and weld on the new u-joint.

I would be willing to help anyone do this install. I did the same for Juic3d's new 7.0 car.

well fack, I was under the impression that it was just plug n play. Lol I think they sell the racks with the offset bushings for cheap though, and they have those joints too. maybe there is a full kit for it on the cheap. I fortunately just got a Millermatic 140 but don't have an inert gas tank yet.

That $107/shipped rack I posted is supposed to be for 79-93 cars. Wouldn't need the offset bushings. Would be nice if it went right in without needing the ~$50 u-joint.

I'll probably just buy it and figure it out.

Sorry. Never looked at it. Yes that one will bolt right on. Will still need a new u joint to fit the smaller shaft of the input shaft of the rack. Good luck trying to find a manaul rack rag joint coupler.

Yep. Will still need to weld it on to the stock shaft after you cut of the rag joint end.

What a nice surprise I already have a u joint shaft!

So all I would really need is the rack for $107 that hobie originally posted?

As long as that end of the u joint is 26spline and 9/16 diameter.. your good to go!
