            little spray and a cam will go nicely with that. Whiteboy's set of twisted wedge heads would go nicely atop that block

              I'm going to pull the heads off of my motor and have them freshened up while the transmission is getting ironed out. They're aluminum GT40x heads, so they should do fine on a little 306.

              I'm seriously thinking about putting a single turbo on it too.

              If I do decide to go turbo, I'll just have a cam spec'd for the combo.

                              Car had a nice GT40 crate motor in it.. bet all that stuff is still good.

                                No. I never had a problem with the trans and the engine never got over 220, and that was because I was a block away from the house and the radiator can took a dive on me. Replaced the fan and never had a cooling issue with it. I drove the car hard a few times while I owned it, but it was relegated to DD duty while I owned it, so I typically shifted from 1-3-5 because the gears are so close together.

                                Aaron, I didn't know about any of that stuff or I'd have told you about it. I feel like shit because I didn't notice any of those problems.
