I'm very disappointed in Trump's terribly oversimplified wording of that statement. He was technically incorrect, and that's just more fodder for the MSM efforts to make him look like he's misguided and uniformed.

A liberal with confirmation bias is going to read that article and walk away thinking he lied. It is carefully worded to make the impressionable reader think that the allegation is mostly false.

Trump needs to chill the fuck out on his fervor and stop making arbitrary statements. Spell it out for people in the cheap seats. If he would have made a statement like the one below, he would have nailed them to the wall. They would have had no way to flip the script and make him appear to be in the wrong.
