  • 2015 Mustang Convertible CDC Black Light Bar Install Video

Classic Design Concepts 1511-7000-01 Mustang Light Bar CV 2015

Today we are installing Classic Design Concepts black light bar fitting all 2015 Convertible Mustangs. One of the more popular upgrade for Mustang convertibles has been a light bar, inspired by the look of the '67 Shelby convertible. CDC has created some great looking light bars for earlier models and we could wait to install one on the 2015.

CDC designed this light bar to flow with the curves and natural lines of your S550 Mustang. The high mounted LED light provides added safety with a highly visible 4th brake light, that does NOT illuminate when the top is up.

Engineering begins with the construction of sturdy 1-1/4" round steel tubing with a 1/8" wall thickness. Polyurethane is then molded around the tube and finishes hand-wrapped in vinyl, vinyl designed to match the grain of your car's interior trim. The light bar is supplied with the necessary brackets that mount to the B pillars giving the light bar a sturdy mount and also help with stiffening the body.

Installation was pretty straight forward, there is is some cutting into the factory plastic and you may want some assistance getting the bar into place. Once installed the CDC light bar looks fantastic, it really gives our 2015 convertible that race inspired look and the 4th brake light works perfectly as an added safety feature.

*The CDC Light Bar is NOT intended for rollover protection.
