  • FedEX SUCKS!!

Does anyone here have any contact info for FedEx? Not with customer service, but I'm talking about someone higher up the ladder.

Long story short, bought a camera from Canon, they shipped it with no signature required. I took off the day of delivery, camera never showed up but the driver stated it was left at the front door. Filed claim with Canon and FedEx, FedEx informs Canon that due to no signature required, they basically don't have to prove a thing even though about 2 weeks into this whole mess, another CS rep informed me that they couldn't even get a hold of the driver. So, Canon is not offering any help since FedEx denied the claim and I'm out $250.00.

I called Canon Customer Relations and was escalated to the supervisor and he pretty much said the same thing the cs rep said and stated there is nothing they can do and it's out of their hands and that I need to call my bank and dispute it. I told him I know there are ways to do something about it, I just haven't reached the "right hands".

I'm going to start digging up VP email address and such. It worked once years back with another 3rd party/issue so we'll see where this gets me.

Is it even worth it to file in small claims court?

All fed ex drivers are contractors. Fed ex only owns the trailers. good luck with the claim

That is on Canon, they should've had a signature requirement. Best Buy did this when I ordered an ipad mini to my home last month. I hope that you charged it on a credit card so you can dispute the charge.

I hear if you used a credit card, you should be able to file a dispute and get the charge refunded.

I just called my bank and got some bad news. Since FedEx already denied the claim and Canon is siding with them, they said that their claim with Visa/Canon would also be denied.

So I'm out of pocket $270 fucking dollars!!! I'm not even sure what else to do at this point. $270 freaking bucks....GONE!

I always use a credit card so I can dispute charges for cases like this.

In this case, if the driver stole it your business would have never signed off on it and, being a non sign-off mailing... would negate that safety check.

No so much. The receiving guys are help accountable for how many packages are signed for. Anything addressed to my company requires a signature, no matter how its shipped, we have that built into our account profile for FEDEX and UPS.

Man, don't get those thoughts in my head, lol.

Both the bank and Canon suggested I file a police report....am I missing something here because I don't see a valid "report" to be made. It wasn't stolen from my door step if it was never delivered. Sounds like they're just offering anything that would end the phone call with me and pass me on to someone else.

Who would I take to small claims court in a case like this?

I would think the seller.. You don't have a 'contract' with fed ex, Cannon does. Your 'contract' is with Cannon.. Of course, I'm not a lawyer.

I would be searching high level management for both Fed Ex and Canon.

Have you tried calling the Fed Ex depot it came out of to be routed to your house?

Maybe there have been other complaints on that driver?
