  • Stipling was done by a friend. Slide was done by Suarez. They are the only guys that will mill the slide and fabricate the sights so you get a true co-witness. Not the Zev or Glock MOS crap.

I'm aware of the ridiculous Zev shit, but can you educate me on the Co-Witness thing? I'm relatively new to guns, and I just got this Glock a few weeks ago.

I got this Glock from a family member with the Siderlock trigger and Truglo sights already on it, and with a crapton of extended mags. I can definitely see the point the GLock haters make about Glocks being a $500 gun that you have to spend atleast a couple hundred on to make it a $500 gun. The factory sights are crap, the trigger is mushy, and the grip is kind of worthless, even on the Gen 4's. I do, however, like the huge aftermarket support for Glocks.

To add to my Glock gheyness, I'm probably going to get the slide milled and Cerekoted like so:

Who did the front cocking serrations? I'm thinking about getting some done to my Glock 21.

        • It's the grip angle that kills it for me. I pick up my 1911 and it is easy to point. I pick up a Glock, or any other pistol with the wrong my grip angle, and it doesn't "point" at the target. While this could be "learned", I don't think want to break the correct "point and shoot" the correct grip angle offers. The ones I've shot shot well, but they are also weird to be so front heavy when the mag empties.

It's small things, but keep me from from owning one.

          My 2 cents, for free.

Co-witness means that the red dot sight and the pistol (or rifle) sights line up with each other and give you a single sight picture. That way if your red dot doesn't turn on, your iron sights are in the same identical position. With Glock MOS you get "1/3 co-witness" which means you have to look thru the glass of the red dot and hunt for the sights. Not something you want to do under stress. Another advantage of Suarez sights is that they are high enough to clear a suppressor.

Yeah I pressed the Easy button and just bought a new slide with the RMR cut and new sights. I think it was @ $400-450 at the time.

Getting the Hyve trigger next. How much of an improvement is it? Did you do a ghost connecter or anything with it?

No I just did the trigger. Since it's a carry gun I didn't want to change the original pull weight. I have a fear of hitting a hard bump in the car and the gun going off. Lol. Plus the 19 already had a 5lb pull so I felt that was lite enough. The adjustable trigger just really makes the pull crisp.
