    What a fucking douchebag, trying to extort money. Why is it most hackers are just self-absorbed children desperately wanting validation?

      Also, why only $700? If you're going to potentially be brought up on extortion charges, then go big or go home.

        Extorting money is big business unfortunetly. Many rich folks are into some sketchy shit that they want hidden at all costs.

        There's branches of organized crime who specialize in this, because it pays..

          Never hurts to periodically change your password, but in this latest case no actual passwords were compromised. All the hacker got was the session keys inside the cookie data. That's why Amazon hasn't emailed any request for customers to perform a password change, unlike last year. Most likely a MITM attack. Still a breach, but not catastrophic.

          Hackers are a waste of space. Dealing with them this year has been stellar waste of valuable time. I've spent quite a bit of time this year making security improvements to obviate Locky Ransomware attacks.

            Why are companies storing passwords? They should be storing hash codes.

            class joke
            {
            private:
            char Forrest, Jenny, Momma, LtDan;
            double Peas, Carrots;
            string MommaAlwaysSaid(const bool AddAnyTime = True)
            };
