  • rear main seal tool 302

Anyone have one I can borrow? 1992 5.0. I hammered one in and don't feel that great about it. Just can't afford to do this job again since it SUCKS on jackstands with no power tools.

What makes you not feel good about it?

I put mine in by using a 2x4 and a hammer. No leaks!

      Edit:

Don't be a pansy I've done 4 t5 swaps with jackstands and hand tools! The flywheel bolts are a bitch, be glad your not laying in dirt !

Rear main seal, not t 5 swap. I've done this before as well but the seal is what I am worried about. If it fails I am hunting you down...

Well I did the clutch and flywheel each time too. Haha

As long as it's in place and the seal lip isn't damaged or not seating on the crank it should seal just fine.

I tap them in with a hammer all the time.

I've always done them with a hammer and block of wood. No issues.
