  • The Long Way Round: The Plane that Accidentally Circumnavigated the World

After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour, the crew of Pan Am flight 18602 were forced to do something almost impossible: return to America the long way round.
    You're welcome.

    Badass read!

Fuck filling a plane with 4000+ gallons of fuel one jerry can at a time.

I think I'll go buy that book

I read that story a few months back... what a great (and scary) adventure that must have been.

I had to do something similar coming home from work when there was a wreck on 377.

That was a neat read, had to be a helluva an adventure and experience, can't imagine the river take offs nor flying that big pig through the canyons of. The Congo

One Man's War is a great read as well. The story of Tommy LaMorre in WWII

Definitely a different caliber of men back then.
"It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

Great read, would make a kick ass movie if they stayed true to the story.
