    From above:
"Anderson has a criminal history, including domestic violence, weapons and possible drug charges..."

So, per California laws, he shouldn't have had a gun AND couldn't have brought it on to the school.

Tell how well those anti-gun laws work, CA? Can't wait for the next asinine law that y'all make after this incident.

The laws aren't designed to work. They are designed to control the majority and voters. Equality, honesty and integrity under the law has been shitcanned as outdated Constitutional crap and racist.

I just do not understand by this time why every single school is not on complete lock down while in session. A security checkpoint just to enter the building would change so much. You do not have to make it about guns or pro-agendas. It is for the safety of the kids for fuck sake!

They pretty much all are.. Including this one it seems like, and it didn't stop anything:

After being admitted onto the campus of North Park Elementary School in San Bernardino, a 53-year-old Riverside man went to his estranged wife's special education classroom and opened fire Monday, fatally shooting her and striking two students before killing himself, police said.
The elementary schools around here lock all of the doors once school starts and you have to get buzzed in at the office.

Oh, so you want metal detectors at every school, and security staff to man / work them? Maybe the TSA can help out! lol

Yeah, that's way excessive.. Don't try to turn every school into an airport, for crying out loud. Or a prison.

And the 'think of the kids' argument is silly..

They would work if they were enforced. Problem is no one wants to put forth the time and resources to do so. Politicians know the laws they create will never work, but it sure does sound good to voters who believe the bullshit they spew.

It was a teacher's husband! Is the school supposed to frisk everyone entering the school, even a spouse?

I got an idea: Kill the public school system, make them all private. Destroy the department of education.

                    All problems with schools solved.

How does that solve security at a school? The world still has crazy people and the schools still have doors, whether parents are paying for their children to be there or not.

They could all be (and likely would be) armed to the teeth. Also, they'd start displaying at least some measure of competence when it came to their security. All kinds of shit starts going right when its in private hands.
