            Weighs a ton and doesn't do anything a rangefinder and scope can't accomplish. Wind is a huge variable and unless steady will vary the hold.

                  Sure but how big was the target what were the wind conditions? With a light wind it should be fairly easy to do with a 338. Shooting at a grand isn't all that hard in a light wind with a decent round. It's just a matter of dialing and holds for wind.
