Surveillance video may help authorities investigate an early morning fire at an Amarillo shop.

    AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) -
Surveillance video may help authorities investigate an early morning fire at an Amarillo shop.

Four crews from the Amarillo Fire Department responded to Amarillo Gold and Silver Exchange, located in the 1600 block of Western St., around 12:45 a.m.

The owner of the store released surveillance video to NewsChannel 10 that shows an unidentified man pouring what appears to be gasoline on the building before setting it ablaze.

The footage then shows Amarillo fire and police departments arrive on scene to extinguish the blaze.

Officials have not officially released a cause for the fire and no arrests have been made.

At this time there is no word on the amount of damage or if there were any injuries.

Watching the footage and reading the newspaper story, he must have been determined. On the first attempt, he used a gas can and a Roman Candle. When that failed he left and returned with more gas, a ladder and a lighter.
